Hempstead boys - all 5 of them - win region III track meet.
First in 100 meters - Chris Tate
First in 200 meters - Willie Van Duren
First in Long Jump - Terrence Tolliver (Van Duren 3rd, I think)
First in 4X100 Relay
First in 4X400 Relay

I just saw Tollivers long jump result on Texastrack.com. 24'-6 3/4" Wow!!:eek:
That is studly. I don't care what classification you are in.
Hempstead and Cuero should battle for the title in two weeks. I hear that Atlanta should be a factor as well too, but I really haven't seen much on them this year. So it should be a tight race for the title.

Atlanta's relays are blazing. Cuero and Hempstead might have the edge with points coming from events outside of the relays.

I read on another board that Atlanta's 4x200 relay got a dq at their regional meet . That has to hurt if thats correct .

If I read that article right, Atlanta did not get the 4x2 or 4x4 out, is that right? Also according to the article Tatum ran 3:23 for first in the 4x4 and Dangerfield ran 3:21 and got 2nd. Someone please clairify.
