View Full Version : My Streak Ended yesterday :(

Counting Jan. 4th I had either watched the whole Rose Bowl game or the last 6 min 42 seconds of the game or at least the highlights every day until yesterday. That made it 111 straigth days (or 110 if you didn't want to count Jan 4th). There were a couple of close calls but I was able to keep the streak going until yesterday. My wife didn't understand my desire to keep the streak going. Last night I had planned to keep it going after the Spurs game but the basketball game went into overtime and my attention was on it and then when it was over Alas! To my horror I noticed it was almost midnight and there wasn't enough time to watch it and keep the streak going much to the delight of my wife. :(

That is queerest thing i have ever heard of. Do yourself a favor and get a life and throw that tape away. If i was your wife i would kick you out of the house for something that queer.

the 04 BlowU vs A&M was a good one as well. Even though A&M lost...I think it may have been even more exciting to watch...especially watching Jaxson Appel and Archie McDaniel combine for 24 tackles and hold AP to about 101 yards on 29 carries.

I remember that one. That was one terrific game. We were in a similar game last year Aggie when we played you and the Aggies could have easily won that game if you could turn around a few plays such as the blocked punt and a couple of fumbles.

Phil -- I'm sure he is still just upset that USC lost. He was so sure they'd win, but ALAS while USC played a hard fought game they lost and UT was crowned NATIONAL CHAMPS!!

Phil,
don't forget about the Rose Bowl being on ESPN Classic Friday nite at 7.

And all you who think the Texans should draft Reggie Bush and not VY, try to watch the game objectively and then ask yourself who the best football player on the field is.

I will have to set my DVR for that one.

Whether you feel that VY or Reggie is the better talent and going to be the better pro, Houston CAN'T take VY strictly from a financial standpoint. They would either be paying him or David Carr in excess of $40 million to sit on the sidelines. Granted they really don't need another RB in Reggie Bush...but 1) he will come at a cheaper price tag and 2) you can put him on the field from Day 1 and let him perform.

That being said...I would do whatever it takes to trade down a few spots and take Ferguson. You need somebody to keep David Carr off his butt...

yes, I've already given in that because of Carr's contract if the Texans keep overall number one pick, it makes more sense to draft bush, even though other needs are greater.

p.s. Sorry if I turned this into another Young vs Bush thread
