Bellville lost 2-0 to A&M Consolidated in College Station Monday nite.
Consolidated had finished district friday nite and then beaten Belton on Saturday to determine 2nd place in district. They were playing 3rd game in 4 days while with TAKS testing, Easter Holidays and end of district, Bellville was playing only second game in two weeks.

Bellville came out a little flat and left bases loaded in top of first. Consolidated scored 2 in bottom of first. It was very good softball game after that. Consol had a runner thrown out at third and another thrown out at plate. Bellville left bases loaded again in 3rd.
Consol turned double play in 7th on a tailor made ball hit up the middle when shortstop came across, fielded ball, stepped on second and threw to first.

Bellville plays winner of china springs and Marlin in playoffs. Not sure on any other warmups for Bellville.

BTEXDAD, I saw the small writeup on brazossports.com about the game last night. It didn't say anything about Bellville leaving bases loaded twice. It did say that they scored their 2 runs in the first and Consol got 4 out of their 5 hits in the first inning. Sounds like a good warmup game for Bellville.

Looks like accurate writeup, KL3.

First inning we had walk, fielder's choice (when they tried to get lead runner on bunt), then hit batter to load bases with one out.
Two strikeouts ended inning.

In third, with one out, we had single and infield error by them, to put runners on first and second. Runners moved up on flyball to deep right center. Walk loaded bases. Inning ended with groundball out.

Good warmup game for both teams.

Lauren Luetge pitched. Emily had gone back to CO for weekend and wasn't in school that day so didn't play at all. Lauren pitched well. We just needed some clutch hits.
