My youngest son is in the LH 6th grade band this year, playing the tuba. Today, they had competition with bands from Jarrell, Manor, Florence, Hutto and Wimberley. He had one solo and three ensembles, scoring 1's in all 4. Congrats, little one! :clap: :clap:

i have family in Florence. Its a shame ot see a town that has so little athletic prowess. I have a kid that works from me from San Saba who is historically bad at almost all sports and even they make fun of florence.

I was in band in the 6th grade, but only because it was that or music/choir. Needless to say I was first chair and brass captain.

Yesterday, the 6th grade band won 1st place, "Best in Class", at the competition at Canyon Middle School in New Braunfels. Congrats to all the band members! :clap: :clap: :clap:
