Take this quiz and find out.....

Where are YOU? (http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.html)

If this turns into a "political" thread...I will yank it!

I was LIBERTARIAN (and in the majority)

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

( midnight Friday night, and I'm on the DownLow taking a POLITICAL quiz:confused:  )

OK, so I'm a Centrist - CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind:cool: , tend to oppose "political extremes:mad: ," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems  .

Well, crap! Time for me to go to bed. Before I opened the quiz, I told myself I was kind of "on the fence" politically.

  I am a Centrist. :hairpunk:

CENTRIST

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government

control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on

the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention

and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,

tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what

they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

In other words...I ride the fence!

How People Have Scored
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Centrist 32.12 %

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right (Conservative) 7.77 %

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Libertarian 33.93 %

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Left (Liberal) 18.18 %

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Statist (Big Government) 8.00 %

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.................................................. ....................

Other Political Philosophies

Right (Conservative)

Conservatives tend to favor economic freedom, but frequently

support laws to restrict personal behavior that violates "traditional
values." They oppose excessive government control of business,

while endorsing government action to defend morality and the

traditional family structure. Conservatives usually support a strong

military, oppose bureaucracy and high taxes, favor a free-market

economy, and endorse strong law enforcement.

Left (Liberal)

Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal

matters, but tend to support significant government control of the

economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net"
to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation

of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations,

defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action

to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Libertarian

Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and

economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose

government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate

diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

Statist (Big Government)
Statists want government to have a great deal of power over the

economy and individual behavior. They frequently doubt whether

economic liberty and individual freedom are practical options in

today's world. Statists tend to distrust the free market, support

high taxes and centralized planning of the economy, oppose

diverse lifestyles, and question the importance of civil liberties.

Take the quiz but it's pretty "loaded" if you ask me.
.
Give me a political scientist who isn't biased and I'll tell you their snake oil is better for cooking than olive oil.
.
We want quick answers but we are way more complex than 10 questions or so.
If your curious, I was labeled a centrist, touching the conservative line. What a joke!
I noticed some liberal ideas are now considered "central".
Sorry RM but this quote un-quote quiz is wrong. It is flawed in too many ways.:o

For any of you who live in the 14th Congressional District, you are already represented by a Libertarian. His name is Dr. Ron Paul. He runs as a Republican so he can get elected, but he actually ran as the Libertarian Party candidate for President in 1988. I voted for him.

The reason libertarian philosophy will never catch on in this country is that we are ruled by what the late President (and Supreme Allied Commander during WWII) Dwight Eisenhower presciently called the "military-industrial complex." It has an iron grip on us now. It would literally take a revolution to free us from that grip because the elections are rigged (see "touchscreen voting") as well.

No matter what the people want, the MIC's puppet leaders will always be pushing us into wars abroad and cracking down on dissent at home through increasingly draconian police state measures.

The U.S. locks up more people than any country on earth (see "war on drugs"), including Communist China, which has four times our population.
