the boards are just a different format than what alot are used to, and there are some idiots on there....but then again there are idiots everywhere.

It's a matter of opinion, 3adownlow has what yall call a "family" feel to it. Texashsfootball has a website with weekly updated content almost every week throughout the year and almost everyday during the season.

Dave Campbell's Magazine is more accurate than they are so that tells you something.

TexasHSFootball is so much bigger than we are, I don't see how you can even compare the two.

I moderate on that board also....I pretty much stay exclusively on the 3A site though. But Chris is good about sending me links to things over there that he knows I will find interesting..such as a 3A players profile, etc.

I honestly believe the best site is texashsfootball.com because

A: The guys who run it bust their butts and do a realy good job

B: The guys who run it make sure they have quality over quantity and respect the people that work for them.

C: really enjoy the game as much as the players do.

Yeah I work for them, but I'm a fan before an employee.

But that's my opinion.

In 2003 after texashsfootball.com names Josh Gillis from Vernon an All State (Or all texashsfootball whatever it is they call their list) Offensive Linemen I lost all respect for the site.

Josh Gillis was a defensive lineman. Thinking this may have been an oversight I pointed this out to (I assume the webmaster) however they never made any changes in their list. Obviously who ever made the list did not see the guy play. Which leads me to question the site's legitimacy.

No one who makes any of these top 25 or all state list have seen every player/team they rank.

Legitamite error, plus, in 03 there was 1 guy running the site by himself, and texprepxtra, dave campbells, ANY site is gonna make a mistake and they have multiple people working there.

Now the staff is expanded and there are people taking care of errors like that as much as we can catch them.

So you may have faith in us again bro :)

I figured that is what it was. I read more of that particular site than I post there--but I post too from time to time.

Since I have been on this site so long it is like family which is why I tend to like it the best to post my opinions on.

TexasPrepXtra posts a scoreboard very quickly and during the season I always check that site friday night when I get home from the games. Since their website has all classifications 3A gets drowned out in the discussion board, which is why I like the downlow the best.

I also like D3football and D2football as my son moved out of high school and into college football. Both of those boards are very good as well.

For 3A football no other site in the state of Texas is close to the Downlow. The content is heads above whatever you read elsewhere. You think it's busy now? Stay for football season, and this time stay for the full season.:p

There really is no "content" on this site, the only top 25 we get it what matt does for txprepsxtra and keith7's scoreboard if he even does that anymore.

I guess you have never read Vet's Region I scattershooting. That is one of my favorite reads each week. Naturally I'm most interested in Region I AAA and that is exactly what I get.

Much better analysis (of region I AAA) than any other site on the web.

This site offers a 'viewer's' review of easily over 50% of all 3A games played every Friday night during the season. They are loaded with content from people in the know. You can't find that anywhere else on the net. 3A Downlow is THE BEST SITE FOR 3A FOOTBALL, hands down....

The 4A forum on Texashsfootball is pretty much the unofficial Ennis booster club site. It's a good site but this one is way more "comfy" I think.

Hell, I'll read content from anywhere... but I honestly feel that during the season this place gets the job done because of great reporting by the fans who actually see the games...

The other places, bless their hearts, are too spread out... It's broken down into too many sections (message boards)... Here you could have a District 1-3A thead sittin' right below/above a 32-3A thread and you'll end up reading them both and expanding your knowledge of 3A football around the state, only after reading the joke thread... :D

But yah, I'll read 'em all, they all work to get their stuff out there and I don't mind reading it... but here I can read about 50 3A games that happened that past weekend from 100 people who were actually there... I haven't seen that over at the other place yet...
