GW I am not sure if Sinton has cinched it yet. We play Mathis tonight and if we win that will cinch it I think. Of course I am assuming you are talking about baseball. If it is softball you are probably right.

Yes, you are right. Sinton is 6-0, Mathis 3-2. There is a possibility that they both end 6-2 and have to have a playoff for the #1 seed. Good catch.

Snyder hasn't yet clinched #1 seed. If A Wylie wins tonight then Snyder will have to defeat them on 4/25/06 to clinch #1 seed. If Wylie were to defeat Snyder on Tuesday and Clyde on Friday it would leave both teams 7-1 with split in head to head games. If this should occur, I think that there would be a 1 game playoff for district champ. Snyder has destiny in their hands. If they win Tuesday night they will be district champs.

i think Gladewater has clinched, i could be wrong. Pittsburg and Gladewater have seperated from the field and i think the bears have won both head to head matchups. this is 13AAA.

No problem now with Sinton. We beat Mathis tonight 9 - 3 and have thus cinched the district championship in 30AAA and the playoff spot as the #1 seed. Way to Go Sinton Pirates!

Going into tonight Gladewater was 8-1 and Pittsburg was 7-3 with 3 games left. Gladewater has won both games but logistically Gladewater could end up 8-4 and Pittsburg 9-3. Won't happen but it's still a remote possibility.

Graham beat Vernon last night 7-6 to keep a playoff shot alive. If they beat IP on Tuesday then their in. If they lose, I'm not sure how our district decides a tie. If it goes by runs scored b/t the two then Vernon will get the 3rd place due to an 8-4 win a few weeks ago giving them the 14-11 edge. I guess we'll see how 5-3A pans out here in a few days.

I believe that if you cannot settle a tie in the standings with a head-to-head won-loss record, then you have a one-game playoff.

I don't know if this is still the case in this district due to the fact that there have been leadership changes in the past few years but, I know that my Sr year we had a 1 game play-off with Graham to determine the District title.

1 game playoff if both Vernon and Graham lose ow both win their next games. If either team win and the other loses then the winner is in. The Vernon basball field is within rock throwing distance from my house and I could hear lots of screams the other night when the Graham/Vernon game was being played. My son watched some of the game and told me that both teams left a lot of players on base.
