How many of ya'll crank it up? We used to blast the classics: AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc. Younger guy pops in (I'm still shudderin') freakin' "Prince's Greatest Hits"!!!!!!! How do you get the proper mentally deranged violent tendancies listening to a 5'1 unisexual sing about purple rain? What the heck is purple rain anyway? And doves cryin'? SHOOT 'EM! They'll shut-up. Just my early morning rant. Did I mention I quit Skoal?

We listen to the AC/DC and all them, but occasionally, there will be some rap or some screw put into the system.

Some rap is okay. But freakin' easy listening. I asked him "Hey Coach, did you leave the Barry Manilow in your Miata?"

We used to throw on some Michael Jackson whenever we could.

My junior season ended with a loss to Daingerfield though so our coaches played "Eye of the Tiger" on repeat. I hate that friggin song now.

We always listened to a lot of Prong, Corrosion of Conformity, Metallica, GnR, and Pantera back in the day. Soon after I left, rap became pretty popular... don't know how you can get pumped up to rap.

Kinda off my original point, but our band played "Enter Sandman" by Metallica. The Metal kings wept.

It was all about Power 80s in our room. Europe (Final Countdown), Bon Jovi, Van Halen, the Rocky IV theme, Ratt. I think we did it because it kept everybody moving. We knew every word to those songs, so we'd yell it out between reps and stuff. Also, we thought it was hilarious for people entering the room to see 40-50 15-18 year old guys jamming out to hair metal.

I feel that schu. AC/DC and Guns N Roses were pretty much killed in our weight room. I can't stand listening to that crap anymore.

he's probably talking about the chopped and screwed remixes of rap songs they do. some are okay and some are just flat out lame.

Not in the weight room, but pregame I always had Pink Floyd in my Walkman, either "Dark side of the Moon" or "The Wall".

Just before every game I'd stick on GnR's "You Could Be Mine." There's a 45-second instrumental at the beginning of the song that always got me wound up. Always the last song I heard before putting on my helmet and walking out the door.

We made it to the State Quarterfinals solely on Nickleback. If you haven't listened to them then you are missing out. Right before we would enter the field we would turn up "The Show." Wow Memories are crazy, gonna miss this game. Everyone knew every word of every song. The people that hated it at first were singing along later. But I'm feelin you 44 walking into Cuero's football stadium through the Cuero crowd into Hville's spirit line was an atmosphere that was like no other "Welcome to the Jungle" got me ready to rock n roll. Always seemed to be playing when we arived?
