Midland vs. Judson was an instant classic. Already seen it two more times on replay.

But I'm still partial to Bellville upsetting Marlin in 3 OTs.

Bnadera vs. Greenwood. In the last two overtimes every play was an emotional roller coaster. With both teams stepping up huge. It was all in who makes the last mistake.

Hmm....very tough between Marlin/Cameron and Marlin/Gatesville.....
Gotta say the Marlin game though because the first half in Gatesvilles game was onesided until the 3rd where as teh Marlin game was a dogfight from start to finish.

The best game I saw this year was the Southlake Carroll vs. Lufkin game. Man you talk about heart thumpin action all the way to the end of the game. That was the best game I've seen and I wish I coulda seen more Southlake games.

The most exciting game Slpybear saw was Sweetwater Vs. Decatur. Heck of 4th Qtr!

Runner up was Denton Ryan vs. Ennis II, the rematch at Texas Stadium. It gets runner up because Ennis absolutely gave that game away.

It's GOT to be Marlin vs. Bellville. This was a playoff game with three over-times and so many big plays by both teams.

Most exciting overtime game that I attended - Bandera/Midland Greenwood. What a game!!!

Most exciting non-overtime game that I attended - Port Isabel vs. Aransas Pass. That game was back and forth.

Marlin vs Bellville In the last overtime on the last play #4 caught the ball came down with one foot, one ref call touchdown and the whitehat along with a line judge ruled touchback interception, because the bellville player tied the ball up, but the Marlin player was on offense and came up with the ball.

I think the Midland/Judson game was the "classic" of the year! On the re-play, that I saw, the camera crew were more than professional. Between the action on the field, they gave you a shot of the tenseness and jubilation going on the the stands and great shots of the sidelines. That was a superior game, with both teams- as great examples of HS football at its best!

Well, obviously is was Kennedale vs. Everman. I was working off the adreline from that game for a week! 2nd best was Kennedale vs. Carter- Riverside ~ watching the defense shut down Vincent Tucker was sweet! I know, I know, I'm prejudiced, but hey, check out the screen name! :p

How did Kennedale beat Everman? What did they do that other teams have not been able to do.

Good question Buffalo! I think many of us would enjoy an explanation on that!

Kennedale had a near perfect game and Everman did not. There were few penalties and Everman lost several key fumbles. Bottom line: Kennedale went out there with heart and determination; Everman went out there to play "just another game." It was a fantastic game with Kennedale down by 2 touchdowns early in the 1st quarter. It wasn't lookin' good. Too bad you weren't there to witness it. :)

How did you guys score on Everman?

I just wanted to correct myself, when I said, the 2nd best game was between Kennedale and Carter-Riverside, I was wrong, I meant to say, Kennedale Vs. Diamond Hill, when we shut down Vincent Tucker! Sorry Guys! :D

Kennedale Has a high powered offense supported by 3 great running backs, a wing back, and a wide reciever. The wing-t uses misdirection to catch defenses off guard. To beat Everman was by no means easy. They went up 14-0 early in the 1st qtr. We just stuck in there and chipped away at them. We wore them out, everman had not had to play a whole game all year up to that point. They were by far the best team we played. And congrats to them on the Title.

And I was going to give a smart a** answer and say we got into the end zone more than they did :p OLiNeMaN said it much better! :D

Then what happened in the Ballinger game they got in the end zone more? I just figured if you beat a team that no one else had beat in 2 years you did something diff. or just better. Might have found a wrinkle that no one had seen I did not realize you guys ran the Wing. However I was educated thansk I guess scoring more is the secret.

To be honest, Coach Barret being an ex Offensive Coordinator for Everman might have helped. He's a great motivator and instills in his kids that they can beat anyone. We @ Everman would Probably take him back if we ever lost Coach Keeling. Not to make any excuses but Everman's defense had 3 starters out due to injuries that game. But Kenedale played a great game....

Sentimentally, Marlin vs. Bellville. 3 OT's of sheer stress for this fan.

Realistically, Bandera vs. Greenwood (2 OT's with all the marbles at stake!) Awesome, 'dogs! :) Doesn't get any better than that.
