I know the Bay City kids have been talking about the game,but i have not heard a time or place.I guess it doesn"t matter will be a good ball game bettween two power house programs.

i think cuero takes it in a route. bay city lost alot of athletes from last year's squad. but, of course i could be wrong..........

Bay City is returning 10 on D and 6 on O. BC had almost an all soph. team last year. but they did lose their stud Cordero Williams!!

yeah, cordero was a stud (basketball & football) they also lost griggs, and a few others, right?

is cordero or griggs going anywhere to play?

I hear that Bay City will be pretty weak by Bay City standards, and I know that a few of their coaches are leaving. Why would their coaches be leaving if they were going to be "loaded?" I hear not all are big fans of Mr. Cherry in BC.

I thought it was just rumors about him not being very popular, but when I was in BC for a basketball game I started talking to a BC guy in the stands and I mentioned Cherry's name and the man launched a string of profanities about him. I was like wow!

yeah not that many people like him down there!!! i was just saying they should be very competitive with all the kids coming back!!! But you never know till the season comes!! If you look at it from the Fans point of view, he lost in the first round the last two seasons and they don't like that down there. Although on the upside when he did have quite a bit of talent he took them to state and two season ago they had a #1 ranking in 4a. they have been short handed on talent from what BC usually has!! I quess it depends on how you look at it. those people in BC love to win and when you go 5-6 they don't like you very much.

Yeah thats true!!! Coaches are critized whether they win or lose and it doesn't matter if they have talent or not.

many places coaches are also trying to teach kids about life and doing the right thing.....stuff that wont be seen for years.

W's and L's is what is posted. not the number of honor roll kids on the team or the good stuff like that.

sometimes coaching is more that W's &L's

You explained that good!! And that is true but people on the outside will never understand that.

But on the other hand winning is just like Money!!

People think that you have to have money to be happy!! A family with no money gets frustraded just like a team without wins.

You can be a family and a team without money and wins. It doesn't always solve the problem but it can help a lil bit!

The coach from Gilmer said it best, he said that his record is yet to be determined. It will be determined in 15 years when we see how many went on to be productive citizens!

Tough place to coach,bottom line is you have to win there the BC faithful were not at all pleased going 9-2,2004,5-6 last year.This will probally be the year he has to win and make a very good playoff run.As far as why leave when you got that kind of talent who knows,all i know as that i would not take a BC lightly if i played them.To be honest i think some people just don't like the guy,but when you see his won/loss record 145-35 the guy must be doing something right.

Griggs going to play at Texas State,Cordero signed on to play at a juco in Iowa.
