When and where are regional track meets? State?

If Cuero and Hempstead make it to state with relay teams, the trip could be worth it just to watch them run against each other. Hempstead brought only 8 guys to district meet and almost won it.

Region III is in Humble (I believe) and Region IV is in Kingsville. State meet is in Austin.

Atlanta too! They ran 41.50 , 4 x 100 and 1:27.50 4 x 200 Meters with some great in individuals in in the long jump and 200 meter dash.

Super times for 3A team.

What has Cuero run in the relays?

Hempstead won all relays at district, but had faster times in all three of them at earlier meets. They had small squad and had the guys spread out to get as many pts as possible.

They ran 41.8 in 400 relay, but I can remember they had a 41.4 earlier in year. Ran 1.28.8 in 800 relay and 3.20.6 in 1600. I'm not certain on those two, but someone was saying at meet, those times were quite a bit slower than their best also.

1600 Relay

The above times were from District. Seems they did really well at El Campo but I don't have those times handy :p

Several things Hempstead has going for them. First, they haven't peeked yet. You have kids running thing for the first time in their lives and don't know how fast they really are. There are kids running one race that is preparing them for other races. Those kids are finding out with the proper coaching and conditioning, the sky is the limit. With good health, look for Hempstead to run sub 41 in the 4x1, 3.18's to possibly 3.17's in the 4x4,10.1 to10.2 in the100, 21.2 to 21.3 in the 200. Those are realistic times for these kids. They are very humble with their new found success. Look for great things from these kids.
