Well, at 3:45 when I had to go to the high school, the thermometer on our front porch (in the shade) said 104. About 25 minutes ago, our power went out. I gave it about 15 minutes to see if it would come back up, then called the electric co.  SOME STINKING STATE ELECTRICAL AGENCY WAS SHUTTING DOWN POWER TO COMPANIES ACROSS THE STATE BECAUSE OF OVERLOAD! Ya think there might be overload when it's 100 degrees? And.....this is supposed to keep happening periodically. :foul: :foul: :foul:

That BITES LHPM! Let them shut off the power first in west Texas. They at least have a wind chill.

If you live in the ERCOT area (aka Texas grid) on this map, you are subject to the rolling blackouts. I'm in the Eastern Interconnect.

It's 89 in Gilmer right now. High was around 92.

My digital thermometer is still reading 104 in the shade. My thermostat is set to 80 and it feels cooler than that upstairs. Wow! Talk about difference one month makes.
