How was your Easter?

My family and I travelled to Austin to visit my family for the holiday. I took my kids to see Ice Age 2 and took my oldest son shopping for his birthday, which is actually today. On Sunday we barbequed and did an Easter egg hunt for all of the kids. My 1yo son found the golden egg($35). We also had cake and a pinata for my son's birthday.

I went to Graham for the weekend and hung out with the family. RMAC and I went to play golf on Saturday and I shot 89 (not bad for the first time to pick up a club since September) which consisted of 2 triples (one being a 4-putt, the other an OB shot and 3 putt) and a double...but also an eagle and a birdie. The eagle I'm quite proud of because I holed out from about 70 yards or so on a par 4...never done that before! Next time through that hole (Graham is a very nice 9 hole course with 6 different sets of tees that give most holes a different look) I am again about 70 yards out...I stick my approach to about 5 feet and then blow the birdie putt cuz I was still excited about having made eagle on that hole! :mad: Oh well...46-43...I'll take it for the first round of the year...especially in 100 degree heat and a 30 mph wind! :rolleyes:

Oh, yeah. We finally got to see Chicken Little. We missed this one at theaters and the freakin video store never has it in. It was cool. :D

I went to Garden, New Jersey for the weekend to visit cousins. They have always come down to Decatur but we decided to switch it up a bit.

we went to las vegas for the 3 day weekend....best part...mom and da paid for it.

my lil sister just turned 21...so she is the one that started the plan for vegas.

also my wife just had a B-Day and my older sister is in a week, so my folks picked up the bill.

it was fun....i lost 20 bucks wife made about 50 :)

Other than having to finish up income tax, it was great. Watched a very good Little League game Saturday, that ended in a tie. Of course, we were up 7-2 in the 3rd. :(

i enjoyed seeing my family and my nephews, but i did have to drive alot of t-posts yesterday morning cuz my dad cant with his elbow recovering from surgery, THEN i find out that a good friend of the family passed away at 2am yesterday morning....so it was a good/bad easter

I had my sister and two nieces in from Austin. We spent the weekend playing in the yard...riding paddleboat, 4 wheelers, trampoline, swimming, barbecuing etc....all in all a very good weekend!:D

One bad thing...I watched the movie "Beaches" again last night...what a "tear jerker".....:cool:
