Ooops!!! Sorry about the misspelling!! LOL!! Yes,Taylor did drop to 3A. They will in the same district as Hutto,Liberty Hill and Cameron!!! One very good team from this district will be left out of the playoffs!!!

Or lack of travel, that is compared to some of the West Texas teams. I think the largest travel distance in this district is between Liberty Hill and Cameron which is roughly about 90 miles depending on which route you take. Hutto to Taylor is only 8 miles which is the shortest.

I will apply the prevailing conventional wisdom applied to polls---If my team ain't in it or ranked high enough....it can't be right. :D

Seriously, I think you have a pretty good "feel" for most of the top teams next season. Now as to the ranking order, I have no idea yet.

Gainesville will be WAY DOWN as they lost pretty much everybody
and their coach

It's actually a 5-team district, but Rockdale wasn't listed in his top 20. :)

Does Cuero know for sure whether it will go Division I already as Gilmer does?

I believe Gonzales is still the only team ahead of Cuero enrollment-wise... I'd bet they'd make the playoffs again this year...

Looks like Division 2 for Cuero again this year...

Thanks for clearing that up.

I imagine figuring out where Hutto goes is going to be difficult as well. If Hutto, Cameron and Liberty Hill are the playoff teams, wouldn't that put Hutto in Division I?

Yes,it would. But if Taylor makes the playoffs and Hutto does too. Then Taylor would be the Div. I rep.

Look for Sinton to go Div 2 if they are a playoff team as Ingleside will be Div 1 rep.

2-20 dont really matter. Right now Gilmer is the team to beat, at least on paper

Sorry,I totally forgot about Bellville. Not on purpose though. Ok,put them at #17 and take out Atlanta. My fault, they definitely are a Top 20 team.

Sure didn't for Jasper when we had all the superstars a few years back. Don't know if we were as talented as this Gilmer team though.

Yeah im assuming Gilmer would be division 2 most likely. They are the most talented team on paper. Nothing will be handed to them. But as of now which is "preseason" Gilmer looks to have a great year. out of the rest of the teams, some will emerge to be very great teams as well.

if you are basing it on GJ Kinne going to Gilmer... the jury is still out if he plays or not...

Gilmer will be Div 1. They are the largest school in their new district
