Tianca Mock, Navasota, put on quite a display in the girls meet. She won first place in the triple jump, long jump, 100M and 200M

I may be mistaken, but I think Hempstead only brought 8 boys to the track meet to finish 2nd!

300 hurdles should have went to Clayton Chaney from Bellville. The Navisota coaches protested the race. They ended up disqualifing him for intentialy knocking over the hurdles. I dunno but i didnt know there was a rool for that. Does anybody els know anything about it?

You must attempt to jump the hurdles. It is in the rule book. A judgement call to say the least.

Chris Tate of Hempstead in the 4x200 got the stick on the anchor leg 50 or more meters behind, like Seabiscuit, he ran a 20.7 and passed the guy from Sealy with 10 meters to spare at the finish.

I was impressed by Tates performance. It was a real eye opener.
