The streak has finally been broken...Raymondville's 40 game district win streak was broken this week wiht a 6-5 loss to Lyford now both teams are tied for the top spot at 10-1 a peice...both teams have already assured a spot in the playoffs but seeding is still to be determined. Third place in 32-3A is La Feria after that the paper doesn't really keep up with the other teams...I know that PI was winless in district but not sure about that now.

no problem...all we need to work out in our district is the seeding between Raymondville and Lyford.

Hey Ray won't the top two teams have to meet to determine who represents the district in first place.

yeah if we win out the rest of the season....and I don't have any concerns when we lost to Lyford last week we only had 1 pitcher and she had the flu.

Not yet...Raymondville will close out the season with Hidalgo today and Lyford plays a tough La Feria team...if both win out they will have to play a seeding game.

Both teams won out last night and should of been scheduling a seeding game. The coach told me that Lyford wanted to flip for it and our AD wasnt having it...something about playoff seeding needing to be played out not flipped. That threat was enough for Lyford to concede 1st to Raymondville, they didn't want another game. So the seeding in 32-3A is as follows:

1st: Raymondville
2nd:Lyford
3rd: La Feria

wow-that is surprising. oh well...

I never did find out if Goliad beat Aransas Pass on Friday. I know Crystal City beat Devine (dist. 29) on Friday and now they have to play a play-off game to determine 1st & 2nd on Monday. IF Goliad beat AP then Goliad and Ingleside have to play a play-off game to determine 2nd & 3rd place.

Hopefully, the UIL will have a complete bracket up and ready by Wednesday.
