Ruckman (Ft. Worth, Texas): Is the QB from Texas Tech Cody Hodges going anywhere in the draft?

Mel Kiper: Any time you have a QB and you don't have ideal height, Hodges is only 6-0 and doesn't have the big time arm. He's a system QB. The Texas Tech QBs haven't faired well, because they are system quarterbacks.

Sonnie Cumbie has thrown for maybe 40 tds and 3 ints in the arena league. I think he will end up in the NFL.

thats impressive, but arena and NFL are two totally different games. I dont think that will get him any kind of pt in the league.

If Chance Mock can throw a touchdown in the AFL, then Cumbie and Hodges can definitely excell there, especially with the quick release that the Tech system teaches.

I wonder if Warner can get tthem jobs at HyVee in the offseason.

I used to go work with my uncle in Iowa during the summers and they have those hyvees everywhere. The best part about them was the adult beverage aisle. They can sell any type of liquor anytime of day any day of the week. I assume it is still the same. The reasoning... you have to be drunk to want to live there.

Have you heard of Kurt Warner? He ended up as an NFL mvp QB and he got his start in Arena Football.

A&M fans can never post anything about Tech football. Tech owns them! OWNS THEM! The best part is that now Tech is building a defense since the offense playmakers will always be there...
