Deer, Feral Pigs, Dove, Quail, Turkey... I haven't been up to hunt pheasant yet, but I really want to.

I would like to get up to the high country and draw an elk tag one year.

I was up at 4:00 am the last two mornings putting the guys in the stands. I still love the hunt, but Im not near as mad at them as I used to be. With me its really more about taking and teaching the kids these days. Between bow season and kids weekend weve been hunting a lot already.

More of a fisher, not a hunter, though I've been hunting (unsuccessfully)... My uncle just snagged him 160 acres about 4 miles outside of Cuero and I'm hot to trot boys...

Gunna get me that sucker, you watch...

It's the second week of deer camp, and all the guys are here.

We drink, play cards, and shoot the bull, but never shoot no deer.

The only time we leave the camp is when we go for beer.

It's the second week of deer camp, and all the guys are here.

EVERYBODY!!!!!

Slpy's coming thru the door, he says he got a buck.

He was driving back from gettin beer, and hit him with the truck.

Sinton66 pops open a can, and slurs "Lets Celebrate" "Its the first deer killed in this camp since 1968"

:D

Gonna miss my first opening weekend in as many years as i have hunted-and that has been many many years. The only way I will miss a hunt is for my other favorite thing to do- PLAY FOOTBALL- We have a game in Louisianna this weekend. But as soon as football is over its on with the Whitetails!

Hunt deer and turkey. It's usually not too big a challange; 30 yards out the back door (I know, not real sporting, but damn it sure tastes good)!

I'm still in pursuit of Muy Grande, but I haven't got an invite where you gotta go to get him. I have gotten a bunch of West Texas Deer over the years. Got to where I won't spend money on a lease anymore, they're getting ridiculously high priced. If one of my brother in laws' places isn't available, I just don't go. $1500-$2000 per gun is ridiculous. I can buy a LOT of T-bones and Ribeyes for that! :D

I'm more of a fisherman than a hunter, though I have hunted for deer and quail before, with some success bagging some quail. Haven't shot a deer yet, though....but like I said, i'd rather take a day out on the boat doing some Redfish fishing in "South Bay" near Port Isabel over hunting

Hey Tarpon Fan. Remember that time our families went duck hunting in 30 degree weather and we sent you into the water to stir up the ducks?

Well you really ruined a good hunting day by stepping on that Sting Ray.

Thanks buddy.

I hunt everyday in my mind. I'll be on a hillside 25 miles southeast of San Angelo Saturday morning when the sun comes up. I like to camoflage up and play hide and seek with the deer and turkeys. I do not actually shoot one very often. It is too much work after the shot!
