Lavaca Bay Redfish Part II

Just got in about 30 minutes ago...

I got a 28 1/2, a 23", a 22" and a 19"... the 19 was beautiful with the three spots on its tail...

My buddy got a 27 1/2", two 23"s and a "22...

All catch and release... got enough fish in the freezer as it is..

If I ever get me a flat-bottom boat you're goin' with me, I think I haven the hang of those waters now...

We actually got out to that area at around 1:45... drank and slept until things got brighter and we could fish... we took the guitars but were to lazy/tired to bother taking them out...

Forgot to mention the fish I hooked that broke the line... He pulled, I hooked him and he tried to go deep and out... had me quoting that guy from Jaws ("I think we need a bigger boat")... had to be over 30, but he completely snapped the line about 10 seconds in... the 28 3/4" had a lot of heart and muscle this morning, it was a beautiful fish...

sounds like you had 2 very successful fishing outings....... It is so much fun to fish when the fish are biting :)

I was dog tired and forgot what in the heck I even caught... take that 23" off the list and insert a 27 7/8", nice tournament red ... can't believe I forgot about that guy... I just remembered...
