Lamesa has played one of the toughest pre-district schedules in 3A. They are 4-2 with losses to Wolfforth Frenship (4A) in which they should have won and to Sweetwater which they played horrible and lost 6 fumbles and should not have won. I know Wylie will be tough in the playoffs if Ballinger, Merkel, or Sweetwater pull some magic.NOT!! Lamesa is much faster and stronger this year. They have tried several new things in the pre-district which cost them some games. Please do not try to run against them because you will be sent home crying. Now the pass defense is still being worked on. The offense is explosive with 3 quality receivers and 2 fast and 1 big running back with a QB that will run right by you. Their only problem so far this year is hanging onto the ball. Has anyone else seen them play this year?
