Looks like this is the end. 449 homers, 1,529 RBIs. Per season, averaged 30 homers, 101 RBI's, and had a .297 overall BA.
Some people are saying first ballot HOFer. Others say that he won't make it at all.
Now before all you longtime Astros fans bash that idea, hear me out. He could very well suffer the same fate as Jim Rice. Both have pretty similar numbers (Rice averaged 26 homers and 97 RBIs per year and batted .298 during the offensively-challenged years of the 70's and 80's) and both were the face of their teams. And yes, Rice was the face of his team over Wade Boggs.
Does Bags get in on the first ballot? Does he get in at all? What do you think?
