Interesting post. Celina shocked the hell out of me when they defeated Gainesville like that, I was outspoken as anybody on them losing big, and I was sure it wouldn't even be close. I've been doubting Celina all season, and it's time to take my foot out of my mouth, wouldn't you say PPHS? Celina proved something against Gainesville, to everyone in the state, that the 3a move don't mean jack to 'em, that they will play hard as ever and be as good as ever no matter the opponent. Sorry for doubting you Celina, good luck with the rest of the season (although it seems your ability far exceeds your need for luck!)...

Well I have to say this is the best and most informative site I have found on getting information about 3A ball. I am a new member and I want to say to most...You all can be very interesting. I have been following Celina ball now for about five years. The one thing that really impresses me about the program is the no quit attitude and the support from the community. The BIG win over Gainsville really tells the picture about the bobcats program. I have seen programs from Florida to California but I have to say Celina has a class program. I have to get this in....The class or should I say lack of class displayed by the Gainsville coaches and players at the game shocked me. If it is a tradition to spit on the opposing teams field then I think the coaching staff needs to take a step back, an think about the image this portrays about the program. OK enough about that. I am really interested in how Gainsville will rebound from the big loss or will it affect the rest or their season...what do you all think.

Gainesville is a great team, but I see them at the start of a descent. Not so much in district as in the season as a whole *points finger to post season*. Still though, Gainesville is not an easy team to compete with, they have all the talent the need. Getting beat by Celina is nothing to cry about I guess, but something seems fishy about G'ville at this point. I see them falling apart, but hey, prove me wrong wink

Gainsville definetely has tallent. I was impressed with the tallent level of the team. Getting them to work as a unit...thats the trick. If the coaches can ever figure that out...look out...they are scary as it is and I think I took about three breaths during the game with ...It was nerve stretching to say the least. Talk about looking ahead...I am really getting excited about Celina next year...lots of Juniors on this team, a soph QB...should be interesting

I told ya'll not to count Celina out until some team proved them wrong. 64 wins in a row is awesome no matter who it is against (2A or 3A). Congratulations Celina, I hope ya'll have earned the respect ya'll deserve in 3A.

Celina with out a dought earned respect on their big win. I am really looking forward to seeing how they respond to the pressure of playing the best in the playoffs week after week. They always seem to play their best ball in big games. The game against Gainsville was just one of many more tests coming at them. I think they can handle it if they stay healthy. Making it through the Pilot Point and Gainsville games healthy is a big plus. The one thing Celina has is playoff experience and many of these players on this team have been in the playoff picture and experienced the pressure that the playoffs bring before. It will be an interesting run to say the least.

I posted that article on another board, because I thought it was just to low class of Ethan B. Szatmary to be posted here. I can understand a Coach or a team not being in agreement with some calls from the refs, but I just don't understand how a "reporter" who was at a game with 7000 other fans, thinks he had a better view of the game than the refs on the field. And that he would stoop so low as to use his "power of the press" to whine about a game that was played five days ago. It's funny how this same "reporter" made sure and posted game scores and highlights of this same game by early Saturday morning in his RAG. But waited five days to try and stir up something like this. Ethan B. Szatmary, in my opinion, has shown poor taste here, and will not be a welcome guest at any game in MY hometown for a while...no matter which team he is pulling for.

Well its old news anyways.. but everything in the article is true except for the onside kick.. that clearly didnt go 10 yards.. but he even left out penaltys like the interception at the end of the game, the reciever was held from the get off
