How do you like yours?

I like mine with Mustard on one side of the bun, Miracle Whip on the other, Wolf brand Chili poured on with cheese and onions on top. Oh and the "dog" has got to be BEEF.

I love hot dogs.

But I can't eat them anymore.

But when I could, I liked mine with mustard, onions, hot sauce, and jalapenos.

Of course that could explain why i can't eat them anymore.:(

My favorite hot dog is cooked in the fire on a stick/coat hanger/whatever....then topped with onions, chili, jalapenos, mustard, cheese, dill relish or pickles, any and all combinations. This makes me want a wienie roast. :D (It would have to end with s'mores.....)

It's not one of those things you can describe, but I like it. My youngest detests mustard, so he always has mayo or Miracle Whip & ketchup. (My mom calls it a "sissy" dog, since it has no mustard. ;) )

I prefer a grilled beef hot dog. Mustard, tons of refried beans, tons of oaxaca cheese (can be mixed in with the beans), grilled onions and just a little chili. Mmmmm.

lol
There is actually a science to using mayo or Miracle Whip on your hot dog. It involves which type of onions you are using. Onions on a hot dog are mandatory imo.;)
Now if you use sweet onions (1015, Texas Sweet or whatever variant you have on hand) the use of mayo is a must. It tends to balance the lemon or lime juice used in most mayos like Kraft mayo.
If you are using Miracle Whip, then using plain jane regular onions work just as well. The sulfur found in native onions are the same thing that causes your eyes to tear up when you cut them. You might have noticed that our "sweet onions" have a reduction of this and a higher sugar content. Back to the lesson...:) The sweetness of Miracle Whip is a wonderful compliment to the evident hotness of native onions and helps to cool down the effect of sulfur, becoming quite a flavorful combination.
Now because that mayo/Miracle Whip and onions has been established as good together they have to be combined as close as possible. So what does that mean? On your bun, first spread your condiment of choice then put a layer of onions on top of said mayo/Miracle Whip. The taste for both becomes more pleasant, period. Also this prevents the onions from falling off your dog. Take my word for it. lol
This not only applies to hot dogs but hamburgers and sandwiches in general. ALWAYS PUT THE MAYO OR MIRACLE WHIP RIGHT NEXT TO THE ONIONS. On burgers, the tomatoes have to be next to onions too.:inlove:
Back to dogs...
for the rest of the dog any combination of most posted here will work great. I do like craut but not with everything else. Chili is good with grated jalepeno jack and other cheeses. If you can't tell, we eat lots of hot dogs in my house.;)

First of all it has to be a BEEF hotdog. Preferably HEB brand mesquite BEEF hotdogs. Wolf Brand chili with NO beans lots of shredded cheese and tons of 1015 onions. ummm ummm good. I don't use mayo or mustard on my hotdogs. And forget miracle whip, ugh.
