Dan Schmidt...he was one of the best in the state last year so I bet he's pretty high up again this year

His shot put is on the rise he has a best mark of 49 11 which prob wont hold up at region as of right now. He has 55 in him once he gets the spin down.
He was the top in the discus last year .

All shot putters will always be in a fight for being second best in the state as long as Michael Carter lives here. 50-51 feet is pretty good until you remember that Carter threw it 81' 3 ½".

Schmit doesn't have the best shot mark in the region it seems everytime i ask about shot it turns into him bein discus god lol he's a helluva discus thrower but i wanna hear bout shot putters

I dont know the kids name, but I saw him at the Sweetwater meet throw it somewhere around 51. He is from Hereford I believe. I really liked the look of this kid, and I believe he has alot more in him. Athletically, he looked head and shoulders above everybody else there. I didnt get to see him throw the disc, but I bet he did well in it also.

Didnt he throw that at a meet in Abilene at ACU? I hear that it would have been further but it hit a telephone pole that everyone assumed was out of range for anyone.

Amen lol i bet he's got 62 in him this year he threw in the 60 foot range consitenly last year. guiterrez from andrews threw 57-7 at abeline 5' improvement from his first meet in stockton i think by regionals it'll be about 6 ppl fightin it out at around 53-54 range i hope at least that would be a sight to see

Monahans throwers take 1,2,3 truex 1st with 52'3 richardson 2nd with 50'4 Murphree 3rd with 50' .5 bad conditions slick ring rainy cold

Yall must have a real good shot put coach out there. Probably have a good strength coach as well. Is he one in the same?

I was looking at the DFW area stats this Friday.
There is a kid from Arlington Bowie, last name is Sellers. Throws the discus 190'. That is chunking the dish!

I dont know if there is any truth to it or not, but I heard a rumor yesterday about a girl that is throwing the disc around 180'.
Has anyone else heard this?

He graduated last year his name is brad sellers and he is a man throwin the discus his dad guy sellers has the discus record here at monahans with 194

I know that it is early but the region I numbers seem a little weak this year for 3a.

How in the world is it possible to throw the shot 81'??? I've actually saw guys who couldn't throw the discus 80' on Varsity this year...
