I think UNC's gunna shock some folks, may get to the final four...

I think Texas can hang with Duke the second time, just depends on which Texas team shows up...

Watch out for Boston College as well, wow they're tough...

You do know that it has never happened where all 4 #1 seeds made it to the Final Four don't you?

one thing I heard today is that since the tourney started seeding teams in 1979 (i think that's the year) that every team but 1 had at least 1 McDonald's All-American player on their roster.

Atlanta: Texas--I earlier thought they'd be lucky if they made it past the Sweet 16, but they got a bracket that, while tough, is one of familiarity. If the team from the Big 12 tournament shows up, these guys are gonna give Duke a run. It's a toss up b/t them and Duke, but I gotta be a homer on this one.

Oakland: Kansas--These guys are really starting to gel. The game at Austin was a wake up call, and they've responded extremely well to it. In the Big 12 championship they absolutely stifled Texas in the last 10 minutes, causing turnover after turnover. If they play this type of game in their bracket, with a weak no.1 and a Gonzaga team that hasn't performed well of late, they're in.

D.C.: North Carolina--This is Roy Williams' best coaching year in my opinion, taking a very green bunch of kids and getting them to be absolutely scary. Look at Hansbrough (sp?) to make an even bigger name for himself, causing draft stir.

Minneapolis: Villanova-- The easiest pick in my opinion. BC is overplaying right now, and they're due to come down after the tough lost to Duke. Ohio State is stellar, but next year is their year. Georgetown and Florida are going to have physical games (possibly against each other), and beat each other down. Nova cruises to the FF.

Final Four #1: Texas over KU--This will be the game of the Final Four. The 3rd meeting proves to be the best YET. Texas wins on a missed 3 pointer by KU, by Rush or Chalmer. But it'll be a CLOSE miss.

Final Four #2: Villanova over UNC-- UNC's youth will finally show. They'll put up one helluva fight, but 'Nova's defense will wear them down by the end of the game. By the time its over, Villanova will be up by 8 or 9. Not a blowout, but decided nonetheless.

National Championship: A defensive battle throughout the game. Texas will want to run the transition game, but 'Nova won't crash their guards on rebounding and focus on a half court set. Much like the game at the Erwin, it'll be close. The first team who reaches 60 wins. I want to say Texas; they've got the talent and the coaching. But as much as I hate to say it (it makes me feel like a traitor) VILLANOVA wins the national championship.

Villanova was an easy FF pick for me until Allen Ray got hurt. That scared me off of that bandwagon...;)

They could still get there but I'm not too sure now.

He'll be back for the tourney. There's always one story the resemble the storyline of "what a remarkably tough player this guy is". This year is Allen Ray.

My first run through the bracket came out like this...

Duke vs Kansas
UConn vs Florida/Ohio St

Duke vs UConn

Duke 77-67

I don't really like UConn but any time I ever pick against them it comes back to bite me. I'm sure things will change up the more time I spend on it...
