wylie advanced to the quarter-finals with an easy 17-2 win over Van ... only lost boys #3 doubles (two freshmen, never played at state) and #4 singles (second year player at state)

Here are the tournament seeds:
1 - Wylie
2- Lindale
3 - Canyon
4 - Vernon

Wylie has been Vernon and Canyon 16-3 ... Van had a decent match with Lindale and Wylie just beat Van 17-2 ... don't know if anyone will be able to beat Wylie this weekend

Wylie is weak...the rest of the state is weaker...Wylie wins big!!!

I'd say Wylie wins big if I didn't know Vargas ... 16-3 might be a little too much for Vernon but still, who knows what he is going to pull out if Wylie and Vernon do play. Still think Wylie will win ...

when Wylie played Vernon in the regional final Vargas didn't play two or three of his girls ... so that will change it up a little possibly

it still won't matter...Wylie wins big. Sure wish our teams from a few years ago got to play against this depleted talent field. It would be 18-1 or 19-0 EVERY round!!!

Big article in The Vernon paper yesterday about the tourny. Vargus may mix up some of the doubles. Trying to find somthing to work. You know the saying don't change anything and get the same result. Gave a lot of props to the defending state champs in Wylie though.

As always, Vernon will be a tough foe~
