The schedule I had had them playing at 11:30 against Eagle Pass, but the Caller Times has them playing Calallen @ 2pm and Marshall @ 4:30 at Tuloso-Midway. (shrugs) Guess I'll find out soon enough. Heading that way in about an hour.

Sinton did play Eagle Pass this morning and lost 11-3!! I was at the Calallen game for an hour and they got lit up!! :( Tony had to remind me that Calallen was the defending State Champs!! :D When I left (yes, I left early) the score was 11-0 in the top of the 4th. It was hot out there and I have a softball game to travel to in an hour so

I'll call Tony or Phil with a final score. And info on when/where/who they play tomorrow. :nerd:

...was almost the '07 Calallen district, if CC Moody would've joined up.

This quote got me thinking. I knew Moody got moved down, but looked it up and found out that they're going to be in another district... Separated by just a few miles.

If they would've been in the same district, their resume over the last 15 years would've read something like this:

4A State Finalists-- '98, '99, and '02

4A State Champions-- '91, '92, '00 and '05

5A State Finalists-- 1994 and 2000

5A State Champions-- 2005

...and a team ranked number one in the nation for no fewer than 15 weeks in the last 10 years, plus a team ranked #49 right now.

I know it's a big "what if," but I'm a nerd about this kind of stuff and it just kind of hit me when I saw this quote.

Hey Russ how did the Ingleside Tourney go today? My cousin plays for Odem and I know they were there, but I haven't heard anything yet.

But didn't Moody get the "true" National Championship last year? Or was the year before? lol I must be losing it because I normally read the ack ack Caller most days.

Yeah Russ I was really hoping Moody would've been aligned into our district...but as it is we have a chance to probably meet them in the 2nd round of the playoffs next year. Still that's awful early for a Moody or Calallen to get sent packing in baseball...
