Good luck lady tigers!! State Champs! My memory is failing me...did Wharton win State last year? Or are you hoping for a 'chip this year? That is a tough district you're in. Good Luck!

We went to state in '03 and lost in the semi-final....and then in '04, we went back and got state runner up--last yr, we lost in the bi-district game against Needville....
Thanks for the luck.... We are staying together and playin hard!!

25-AAA is one of the if not THE most competetive districts in the state, especially in girls softball and track.

cant speak for wharton, but the dub is flat out rollin' folks. opened the season with a loss to angleton and have not lost since...

good luck lady necks...

What was the actual standings last yr, bmbf? Did Needville win the district and West Col. went to state. Was Wharton second or third?
It is a competitive district overall, I'll agree with that.
Sweeney was probably best team in state that didn't make playoffs last yr.
Bellville has been fortunate in games against your district though. We beat Wharton in 2004 and 2005. Beat Needville twice in 2005 and once this year.
That's not counting the two scrimmages we've beaten wharton in 2005 and 2006.

Region 3 still toughest region for girls softball.

I think that you have to win a state championship before you can win ANOTHER state championship. Of course she may mean that the Lady Tigers are in the running for the state title again, which they have been for the last 3 years or so.
