Ranger Mark Texeira had a chance to tie it, A-rod on 2nd with 2 out and he grouned out to first. He is 0-8 in the tournament so far, atleast 5 of those have been infield ground outs.

freaking Italy and mike piazza beat Canada 10-0 yesterday! This is absolutely pathetic. When are our country's athletes going to wake up. It's really embarrassing.

as much as i would have liked to, i couldn't even call them the favorite from the start. The Dominicans are the favorites in my opinion.

ITS OK USA WE CAN STILL WIN IT!!!

Man, how embarrasing, beat by a class A pitcher. Now, if Mexico beats Canada by 2 or more runs the US is out in the first round.

actually taht isnt true....according to worldbaseballclassic.com USA can advance if:
Canada beats Mexico and USA beats South Africa
or
Mexico beats Canada and scores 3 or more runs and USA beats South Africa

basically we just need to pulling for Mexico to get to 3 runs, once they get there then we just have to beat South Africa to advance....

if the Mexicans are up 2-0 in the 9th with the bases loaded, it would not surprise me the least to see them crap out to avoid and eliminate the US.

It would be foolish because what if the Canadians were to score three runs in the last inning?

well tech. the mexicans and canadians could agree at that point to not score anymore (silently of course) and then both canada and mexico would advance...but i dont think they would do that, their game is tonight at 7, not sure if it is on TV or not but we should know tonight if we r going to go or not to the next round, of course that is assuming we beat South Africa, maybe i shouldnt do that they did almost beat Canada...
