It will be at 1:15 A.M. which isn't a good time so you may want to set your recorders. This is a great movie to not be missed. You have heard of Italian Westerns, movies from Spain and maybe some from Germany but this one was filmed in Israel!!
Don't miss this one if you haven't seen it. It was made in 1976.

Lee Van Cleef is in it and plays twin brothers - one a retired gunman living peacefully in Mexico and the other a Catholic Priest.
Jack Palance plays the leader of the vicious outlaws and is great. His son Cody also stars as Palance's nephew that bullies women.
Richard Boone also is great in it as the cowardly drunk sheriff who redemns himself in the end (mainly because his two nieces are bullied by the outlaws) Too bad he is only in about 5 minutes of the movie but he does make it count when he is there.
Sybil Danning is in it and she is beautiful and plays Leif Garrett's mother. Garrett is young Johnny who works at the church. A few years later he would be a big teen idol.

The first five minutes when the bandits rob a town is devastating and a classic. Be sure to watch out for the two deputies that are shot close up. Classic shots indeed.
The rest of the movie is outstanding too and the suspense holds up well till it is over.

Don't miss this new chance to watch this movie. You have been given another chance to don't lose this opportunity.

With all due respect to the Godfather, they are saying 1978. But what's a couple of years?

I agree even though my source says 1976 and I go along with it because Leif Garrett was born in November 1961 and if the movie was made in 1976 he would have been 14 when it was made but if it had been made in 1978 he would have been 16. When I watched the movie it looked more like he was 14 years old than 16.

My math was off on Leif's age so I had to reedit my last post.

One of the actresses in the movie is Pnina Golan who plays Chesty (you will have to see the movie to understand the name). She is the wife of one of the co-producers Menahem Golan. She has a minor but it turns out to be a very important part near the end of the movie. You will have to see it to understand it. She is a beautiful woman and has some great scenes.

Some of you may be able to set your recorders now to get this great movie. You need to do it now because it may not be repeated for a few months. I am still waiting for a second chance for Greed and 2001 A Space Oddyssey.

20th January 2006: Leif Garret Busted for Heroin

Seventies teen idol Leif Garrett was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff in January 2006 and charged with possession of heroin. Garrett, 44, was held without bail after deputies discovered an outstanding warrant out for him for allegedly violating his probation after copping a guilty plea in March 2005 to cocaine possession. Source The Smoking Gun

A far cry from his peak. This excerpt from his bio on all music gives you the idea.
Leif Garrett, with his tousled blonde hair, big trusting eyes, and sexy yet boyish good looks, set many a teen girl's heart a-racing in the '70s. Hmmm, not so sure they will be racing over this latest pic.

Jack Palance is still with us but sadly though his son Cody who plays Zeke in the movie passed away in 1998 at 43 years of age.

God's Gun (Diamante Lobo; A Bullet from God) (1976) [Zeke]: Shot in the back of the head by Pnina Golan when Cody is about to shoot Lee Van Cleef in the street.

Ian Sanders plays the Jack Palance's nephew Red in this movie. This was his last starring role. After this movie he became an executive producers of several tv series. He is the one that shots the three lawmen at the start of the movie.

OK...didn't know that...also Phil, I think the actor's name is Ian Sander, not Ian Sanders, but I could be wrong.

Robert Lipton also has a major role in this movie as the biggest bully of women in this movie. He also play Palance's third nephew Jess. He is also the one that does a murder in the saloon and bullies the towns' drunken cowardly Sheriff Richard Boone. But he goes too far when he bullies the Sheriff's nieces then the bully becomes the bullied.
He has stared and still does star in many tv programs as a guest star. I don't think he has a moustach like he did in God's Gun though.

Man Phil, I'm beginning to wonder how many movie posters this movie had? It is a little more confusing given the fact the movie had an aliea name too.

Good research Eagle. The old man at the far right is the mayor with two beautiful daughers who gets bulled by Jess (with moustach). Unfortunately for Zeke they happen to be Richard Boone's nieces so they won't be gloating later in the movie as they are in this picture.

Since Mr. Palance's recent death some of you may want to watch out for this movie on the Western Channel.
