PHILLIPS 66 BIG 12 MEN’S BASKETBALL WEEKLY AWARDS ANNOUNCED
DALLAS - Junior Acie Law (Texas A&M) and freshman Brandon Rush (Kansas) have been named Phillips 66 Big 12 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week for games of Feb. 27 - March 5 in voting by a panel of media covering the conference. Law wins player honors for the first time, becoming just the third Aggie in school history to garner Big 12 player recognition. Rush is named top rookie for the third time in 2005-06.

Acie Law, Texas A&M, G, Jr., 6-3, 185, Dallas, Texas/Kimball
Law converted the game-winning 3-point field goal at the buzzer to give Texas A&M a 46-43 victory against Texas. He followed with 14 points, a career-high nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 75-59 tally over Texas Tech, as the Aggies extended their win streak to seven games. In two outings, Law averaged 11.0 points, and 6.0 rebounds, with eight assists and five steals. He was also 10-of-11 (.909) from the free throw line. He is the third A&M player in Big 12 history to win a Player of the Week award (Bernard King, Jan. 28 and Dec. 2, 2002).
