I tried to get the game on the am in my truck, but 1340 would not come in. I guess we have to wait for the news to come on at ten...

It looks like the twin towers inside for CVR were too much for our post players. Two kids at 6'8" in 3a are BIGGGGGGGGGGGGG for their team. They were outrebounded in their win over Iowa park earlier this week but they must have stepped it up a notch tonight. Thats the way the news made it sound on the Wylie game.

IP has a 6'8" 270lb beast named Tyler Duggins that pounded on them boys all night long too though. The twins only weigh in at about 210 so they were giving up 60lbs to guy who's best attribute is his ability to push people around. Mix in the athletic 6'3" Caleb Clubb running all over the place forcing one of them to chase him and you come up with worn down 6'8" twins. Ranchview was lucky to get past the Hawks in that a couple of their guards got HOT and couldn't miss for a pretty good stretch of the 4th quarter. Not to disrespect Ranchview though because they did hit something like 13 out of 14 freethrows down the stretch to secure the victory. Sounds like Region I was pretty evenly matched from round 3 through 5. Good luck to Ranchview in Austin. They should be good and battle tested having won 3 tight games in a row.

last time I talked to Injured...Wylie was down 7 points (49-42) with 30 seconds to go. CR is fouled and misses the front end of a 1 and 1. Wylie gets the ball up court but Gary Edwards misses a reverse layup with 21 seconds left. They fouled CR and they miss both free throws. Wylie goes down and Keenum shoots a 3 and misses...rebound put in by a Wylie player. 49 - 44...15 seconds left. CR misses both free throws...r0-44. Wylie gets the ball down court and Keenum gets a quick 2 points...49-46. CR is fouled...misses first free throw but makes the 2nd one...50-46. Wylie's Gary Edwards hits a 3-pt shot with about 3.5 seconds left. 50-49. CR is able to inbound the ball down the court and throw up a shot before Wylie can foul...time expires...ball game! CR 50 Wylie 49

I read the story in the Times Recors News for the IP game and Caleb Wore em out ont he boards. Had like 13 to go with 10 points.

Yeah, IP really out played them for about 3 quarters. IP went into a big cold spell to begin the 4th and just couldn't dig out. IP went up by 7 half way through the 3rd and I thought they were going to pull away, but I have to give Carr credit. They did not fold and won it.

BTW, Monster, Tyler is not 6'8". Those kids were about 6'9" and had a good 2" on Tyler. But you are right, Tyler, still controlled the paint.
