I heard that yesterday afternoon, Coach Cobb who is our O Line coach, suffered a massive heart attack in the field house. Had the coaches not found him when they did, he may not be in the hospital having the surgery he will soon be having. He is the father of QB Brandon Cobb. Please pray for his health to return and for Brandon and the rest of the community of Decatur. He was my principle from pre-K to 5th grade and has been with the class of 05 since we were 8 years old.

Coach Cobb has been added to the prayer list. Thank goodness he was where he could be found so that he could survive this.

Nate....I'm really sorry to hear this. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for the Cobb family. Our prayers in Bridgeport are with Coach Cobb and his family during this time. May the Good Lord hold him and keep him safe in His Hands.....

Change that---The heart attack was THIS morning. I would also like to say that Coach Dennis Cobb was my mentor in high school. He is the man who convinced me to stay in football and help me lean towards a Christian way of life. I will be in touch with my mother and the family later on after a few days so I will let everyone know how the surgery goes.

I just recieved word from a friend that he is going to make a full recovery. He will be off work for 2 weeks and he will only work 1/2 time the rest of this year. No word on if he is going to continue coaching but I see no reason why he would stop.
