I just found out that the Fox Movie Channel is going to show the scifi 1963 movie The Day Mars Invaded Earth with Kent Taylor and Marie Windsor. This is a good but not great movie and highly unusual for the time it was made. The ending is a shocker for 1963. It starts at 10:30 A.M. so if you can't watch it you may want to have your recorder set.
What is encouraging in March is that there are showings of many good old movies that haven't been on tv in along time. For example the John Wayne 1954 Movie The High and the Mighty had not been on since 1979 but AMC has shown it several times the past two months. Encouraging news indeed! I hope they keep getting more.

I keep hoping that Texas A&M would let TCM or AMC show the movie We've Never Been Licked that was made in 1943 about the Aggies during WW2. I am sure that you have heard about or seen this movie but I would sure like to see it. I remember a quote from General Patton who said "Give me a group of West Pointers and I'll win the Battle! Give me a group of Aggies and I'll win the War!"

Good research Eagle6Man! I didn't know that Fighting Command was an alternate title! Good information in case tv ever shows this movie.
