Brenham has two tournies. The leadoff tournament which was Feb 16-18. usually gets a lot of teams along and west of I-35 and north of Waco, (ie. Dallas, fort worth. ) Alumni tournament this weekend gets many houston area teams. This isn't completely the case, but seems to be somewhat the norm.
In 2004 and 05 bellville played in Alumni. We were in the Leadoff tourney this year. Both have good competition. I think the Elkins tournament is going on this weekend though, and that will keep some good teams down there.

Last week, Bellville had the deal with Bryan High school where we thought we were scheduled to play Bryan varsity but they had us playing a JV team and games wound up being cancelled.
Well who shows up in the Giddings tournament to play us, but the Bryan JV. Bellville 15-0 in four innings. We now play Giddings (varsity) Saturday morn.

I don't know much about the teams you played the first day, but the ones from second day are all pretty good, including the Westside team you drummed. UR obviously playing some good ball.

Hope Giddings' number 1 pitcher is okay. She was actually playing first base in the third place game of Giddings tourney. Was playing up for bunt and left handed hitter turned on ball and hit line drive at her. Ticked off glove and hit her on corner of eye. They took her to hospital to make sure bone not broken. I never heard how that turned out.
I know Giddings is playing La Grange this week and they said they really need her. Most important thing of course that she is well.
