SintonFan

Lot's of good movie threads out there but I don't remember this one posted.
A few come to mind:
Lawrence of Arabia
Raging Bull
Ben Hur
and maybe The Princess Bride(still not tired of this movie)
.
So does Godfather come to mind for you or something else? All genres should be considered.

Man, The Patriot was great. Glory was well made. I think Braveheart would up there imho too.

I think I'll keep a running total and announce the "Best movie ever made" according to 3adownlow posters.:)

Top Gun... you do live close to the base don't you.;)
That version of Robin Hood did have one of the greatest love songs of all time(Everything I do). I took my wife to see that movie on one of our first dates and maybe that is the reason why we were married? Well, maybe yes maybe no, but it didn't hurt for sure.
What's funny about that Bryon Adam's song is how the meaning has changed over the years. Originally when he sang "Everything I do... I do it for you", it meant something different than what it does now.
.
Is that the John Wayne version of Pearl Harbor, AJ?

You know, that may have been a better title for the movie "Brokeback Mountain".
