Wow. Johnston's relay squad would've won quite a few meets with that time... what a race to lose. Anyone know anything about the Bastrop girls relay?

This will be Cuero's year to go sub-41 in the 4x100 and sub-1:27 in the 4x200. Sub 3:20 is possible in the 4x400 but we need to get Domingo Ruiz and a few other guys up to speed. This will be an unbelievable year for the guys.

Those are some unbelievable times, especially this early in the year.

With so little industry in the area how do you continue to recruit so many great athletes? Or are they all home raised?

Chief Ohera
02-27-2006, 08:23 PM
who cares what their relays run this early in the season, the meet was probally Hand-timed, and that is a huge difference,
i won't be impressed until they do it against good competion and the races are FAT-timed.
so my brothers stay tuned and until next time. your buddy the chief

Ha ---this group Minus one Senior actually won the Texas Relay's 4x200 last year but were DQ'd about an hour later when it was determined that our FRESHMAN took 2 strides on the white line .

This is from a Relay team not yet set some of the (Basketball) team member's arent going to start competeing until a couple of week's.

Apparently Chief doesn't know the track and field rules. Only the 4x100 time gets an adjustment for hand timed versus FAT. Round up to the nearest tenth and add 0.24. That makes their 42.17 a 42.44. The other times do not get adjusted. By the way, we ran 41.53 FAT and 1:27.5 last year.

And I thought the Chief knew all........................:D
