Here comes my "homer" response. I don't know what criteria were used to compile this list, but I've got to wonder how a 1st Team AP All-State RB selection and D1 signee like Colin Jones didn't make any of the Offensive Teams, unless I overlooked him somewhere.

I noticed they had Fisher from BH as a SR and he is a junior.

Also, they listed Liberty Hill kid as a freshman LB on first team. Is that a mistake, him being a FR?

I was wondering how a TE from LH could get 1st Team..had to be for his prowess at blocking for the 3 headed monster no doubt.

Yes, he is a freshman. He led our team in solo tackles, with 67...had 23 assists and 2 interceptions. (I told ya'll for 2 years prior to this past season that he's a stud. ;) )

The TE was moved from Guard for the '05 season and was 1st team All-State in '04. At TE, he had 6 receptions for 240 yds and 4 TD's, from a team that runs almost 90%. Of course, you're right...the blocking was a big part of it. :)

Congrats to Matt, Casey and Chris for what you've meant to Panther football over the years; and to Cody, for showing them that # 21 didn't stop wreaking havoc just because Haberer graduated. Now it will be up to you and your fellow Panthers to hold the rope.

That's sounds awesome that a Frosh made the 1st Team 3A Texas, but as a freshman??

If he doesn't play in the pros. one day I will be disappointed. Those stats are nice, but not overwhelming.

How big is this kid?

How big is this kid? I've watched him play several times, and he is a STUD! Good size, but not all that big, looked fairly quick, but not super fast. He reminds me of the Zach Thomas type. He is always around the play. Typical Liberty Hill player too, plays over his head all the time. I think he has been the same size since 7th grade. He will be a regular on the all state teams for the next 3 years. I've also 'heard' that he is an AWESOME baseball player. :)

Yall run the spread and your defense was on the field alot, Liberty Hill's opponents are lucky to have the ball 3-4 minutes per quarter. However 120 tackles is very good, no matter what class you're in. He sounds like a really good player too...

6' or 6'1"...not too sure, around 215-225, maybe. Maybe the stats aren't overwhelming, but it's been stated by many (not LH folks) that we have a weak defense. I'm sure there were some surprised to know that we had 67 team tackles, much less for one individual. ;)

Bullaholic, Gotta agree... Colin was incredible this year on the field. I reviewed the list of RBs and definitely thought he would have been on 2nd and bubble for 1st
