Interesting Note: Pigskin Prep was once run by a Graham sports editor that grew up in Iowa Park, Buck Cargall. He may have moved on from Graham by now as well, not real sure.

If it wasn't for the Pig, the 3A Downlow would not be here...

This other place isn't the pig... what a wanker... needs a lesson in originality...

So like, did a whole bunch of 'other' 'old school' Pigsters just get together and say "Hey, let's name the site ***********", or did he just do it on his own...

I'm trying to remember, but I don't ever recall seeing Jerry at a 'PigOut'... that's just me though...

I remember when The Pig first launched in the late 90's and it was a pure mix of coaches and HS students. There were some schools that were banning their players from posting/reading any of these message boards. It totally cracked me up. One of the coaches at Wylie showed it to me in class my sophmore or junior year of HS...can't remember which. Gobbla is right...if not for The Pig there would be no 3ADL. Most of the oldies on here (myself included) all migrated over once Matt and others started up 3ADL.

Yah, I found it my sophmore year... one of our coaches found out who I was on there... He came up to me the week of our last district game and said "Hey, Gobbla, don't talk any noise to them Yoakum boys this week, alright?"... was like "wow, everyone's reading this thing"...

Yah, bearcat1 and I started the dl up just before the '00 season, Matt came in that year as well and really did a lot of good stuff for the future of the low... all 3 of us came from the Pig...

I appreciate the information Jerry puts out, but his site is no ***********, no matter the new name.

BTW, Gobbla, I found out about the dl through the Pig shortly after you and bearcat1 started it up. I didn't sign up to post until the 2001 season but I read it through most of the 2000 season and though I don't post much, I have continued to enjoy it ever since. Though there were some "growing pains" and you and bearcat no longer administer the site, you started something good and I, for one, appreciate it.
