I heard the coach from Mart and from Bangs have interviewed as well as the former coach from Gladewater and an assistant from Rockdale.

I meant for assistant coach jobs. Coaches dropped like flies after last season. The coaches couldn't get along and were all on different pages.

But they moved up a JV coach to varsity which was smart because he had a great record.

If the Gladewater coach's name is Husmann and he gets it, Rockdale will be a force. He was the coach in Schulenburg for years when they repeatedly went to the fourth round or better.

If I were a finalist for this job, which I just missed out on the final cut, lol. I would demand at least a 3 year contract. First, because the 4 other teams in this district are LOADED right now. Secondly it would give some of the really talented classes at the rock to come of age. All three of the finalists are top notch coaches. IMO, Robinson from Bangs would be the best one of the 3, but the rock can't go wrong with any of the finalists. I just hate to see one of these quality coaches go to Rockdale, and and after just 2 years get pushed out before they even have a chance to do something great in Rockdale. You could take Vince Lombardi or Tom Landry in their prime and send them to Rockdale, and they would have a TOUGH time being too successful in the next two years. Their is awesome talent in the pipeline from what I hear, but the rock is a few years away from being able to compete for a district title. In most other districts they could be successful this year and next, but the district they are in is just NASTY. Hutto, Cameron, Liberty Hill and Taylor will IMO all be top 20 teams this coming season. I just hope Rockdale is patient with the new hire. Good luck Tigers!:)

according to another web site:

-------------Current School-----------Overall Career
-------------W-L-------%--------------W-L------------%
Robinson--61-27-----69%------------------Same

Miller------31-15-----67%------------35-21---------63%

Husmann--49-41-----54%----------188-72-1------72%

Now based on those stats, I'm a little underwhelmed about the Three Finalists...

It seems like Husman had a great record, but has lost his mojo over the last several years...

Robinson and Miller have better recent records but they haven't faced nearly the competition they are about to face in 18-3A...

Am I Wrong for this Nervousness....
