As good as Gonzaga is... UConn and Duke are a step above. Gonzaga's real competition comes before the conference games start. Their Preseason Maui Invitational game against MSU was one for the ages. Morrison proved he can carry his team, but as far as Pendergraft, Raivio, Batista, Gentry and Pargo go... they still have a level to step up to before they get to the level of say a Rudy Gay, Paulus and McRoberts...

So with that said, i will go with Duke over UConn in the finals...

Duke/Memphis
UConn/Gonzaga would be a GREAT final 4... but it wont happen... either the Zags or Memphis will lose in the Sweet 16... this coming from a Zags fan, although the Zags do look better this year than in years past... When Raivio steps his game up to an almost Morrison level, they will explode...

memphis has a great young squad... and Ager leading MSU is a good pick too!

i'm a duke fan and always have been. but...........i really like gonzaga's coach. mark few has had several opportunities to leave a program that he built. he so far has chosen to stay the course and build the program farther. i really admire that. i think it would be really cool if the zags won it all.
