Lisa Loeb's family has roots in Sweetwater

The Loeb family has made plans to return to Sweetwater during the 2006 Jim Wortham Memorial Concert Series that will begin April 1 with a concert performance by recording artist, Lisa Loeb, who has roots in Sweetwater. This concert, which will be held in honor of the 125th anniversary of Sweetwater and Nolan County, will represent the town's history as the Loeb family has a long history in Sweetwater.
Although there are no longer members of the Loeb family living in Sweetwater, their part in Sweetwater's history is remembered by many. Lisa's roots go back to Dr. Sam and Daisy Loeb, her grandparents, who made Sweetwater their home for many years.
Peter Loeb (Lisa's father) retains many fond memories of growing up in Sweetwater, fishing in Lake Sweetwater, watching water flow over the dam, Boy Scout camps, Little League Baseball, golf tournaments, and even piano lessons with Mrs. Eberle.
He has attended all of his high school reunions and has a 50th reunion in the fall. However, now he is looking forward to visiting Sweetwater for another type of homecoming, to see his daughter perform in his hometown.
