2006 Itinerary:
4A Elgin
3A Rockdale
2A Hearne (Caldwell's turn to find a clock that can only turn on and operate at halftime.
3A Waco Robinson
Open
3A Hutto
(14-14 at the half last season, close game til Hippos pulled it out in fourth quarter so this series could get interesting. When Hippos went the distance against teams most other programs would be intimidated by, the competitiveness of this battle revealed Hornets' potential when four full quarters are played.)
--------------
La Grange
Navasota
Giddings
Smithville
Bellville (sure hope the volleyball team is ready! Six-footers apply within *ha)

It'll be interesting to see if the 9-0 junior varsity team can take up where the the 2005 varsity left off with three straight aggressive victories to salvage some pride to a disappointing 4-6 season. Familiarity to the coach's style and expectations should make some difference after one season.

If Williams could direct the 3A's top defense in '04, nothing less should be expected once loyal goal-minded assistant coaches are hired. A season with fewer than six victories will likely mean search for a replacement, but he has the drive. Player confidence, attitude, depth and finding a strong field-goal kicker could decide team's destiny.
