Definatly Wimberley, same district opponents minus their hardest competition, Liberty Hill. But then in a 4 team district its not so much about who will make the playoffs as it is about who won't.

Or you could include Ingram, since they now have a bigger chance of making it.

neah,
I think wimberly got the easiest trip not only to the playoffs, but possibily to the semi-finals. Think about it.. they should go D2 and wont have to play Cuero because Cuero will go D1.

Cuero could go either D1 or D2. It all depends if Gonzales makes the playoffs. They're the bigger school ,742 to Cuero's 704 enrollment.

Andrews, Snyder, and Greenwood...all they have to do is beat one weak team....Lamesa!

You could have a 1 and 9 record and still make the playoffs!

Oooo, you are right. Cuero will go D2.
Im gonna go ahead and say Gonzales WILL make the playoffs as the 3 place team behind Palacios and Cuero.

Well, at least behind Cuero...
You can say what you want, but the way I see it, 3 place is WIDE open in that district... Cuero, Gonzo, then Palcaios/Yoakum/Goliad. (5 team district you gotta be kidding me)

and correct me if im wrong...

all Palacios (or any of the others) needs to do is win ONE district game by 17 or more points and have that team beat another team by less than 17 and then they win the tiebreaker....

it could happen

Thats horrible... Victoria needs to hurry up and break into 3 schools so there will be a 3a school to face cuero and join the district.

I don't know if they can win a district game or not, but Delicious Palacios will have a hard time replacing Dane at QB.....

Sinton's also a D2 team these days.

I really don't think Region 4 will be all that weak. There were a lot of young teams in the playoffs last year.

Ingleside was young with a lot of Sophomores with good skill and speed. They will be very good so it's not going to be a easy road.

We definitely won't be weak at the top, but we'll lack the depth of R2 or R3. Not because we're not as tough, but simply because we average barely enough teams per district to keep the current playoff system running.

I think R1 had the same problem. The GPA on my transcripts is higher than the number of teams in some of those districts.

Which is sad, because I'm proudly sporting a 2.75.

I would say Monahans Distric 1 is pretty week after the top 3 teams

That's pretty sad isn't it vet93. You would think the UIL could have balanced it better than that.
