"They take care of you down there," McCoy said. "I know from my brother they keep your pockets full, give you plenty of money, keep feeding you meals. Besides that all the help they give you with football. They keep you on your grades with private tutoring. Just good all-around."

McCoy and Ray won't have any trouble finding friends in College Station during their first semester."

If this comment launches an investigation and gets A&M into trouble, I bet he will have LOTS of trouble finding any friends at A&M.

Evidently aTm is not paying enough---their recruiting class of 06' was only ranked 22-25th. I would guess that there is a "spin" and a retraction forthcoming. A&M may have had a problem if this young man was a current A&M athlete.

But the problem is that his brother was who he was talking about and he IS an A&M football player/student.

True, but then again, I will almost bet that this comment will be attributed to "the excitement of signing" and be dismissed as "heresay" or he "misunderstood" what his older brother said. If confirmed by the brother---which it won't be--then trouble may start. I am certainly no authority on aTm--I'm just basing my assumption on what usually happens in similar instances of public "gaffs" occuring in sports and politics.

He shure could of picked his words better but what he said is true for most all big DI schools. Private tutors, great food, stipens for living off campus.
