John Paul Catholic High School

They hired Steve Castillo, former Moody BB coach, and Sam Odoms, former Ray Basketball coach to lead their programs.

I miss the old 15-3A, circa 1976, when it was Calallen, G-P, Flour Bluff, T-M, Sinton, and West Oso. Good times!

Speaking of the "Howling Bear", you all get to play Port Isabel in non-district, too. How fun is THAT? LOL

Sinton get's to play PI?
That would be sweet if not for the drive.:(

I WISH!!! I'd love to see that non-district matchup. Have your AD call Monty Stumbaugh down at Port Isabel. It is my understanding we're still needing a 6th non-district game.

P.I. vs. Sinton - I think it'd be a great matchup.

BTW SintonFan, I was referring to the "Howling Bear" getting to play P.I. in Non-District, not Sinton.....although I think that'd be a freakin' sweet game.

Sorry, I just thought you meant WO AND Sinton... lol
It would be great. Is that little seafood place next to the lighthouse crowded just before games?

I really like the fact that it is a six team district. West Oso will make things interesting, like they always do. Orange Grove was a little bit of a surprise, but they usually have a pretty good team, so I am very happy to welcome them to 30-AAA. I was hoping to have Odem back, but I think the UIL did a good job.

Honestly, I wouldn't know. I've lived in Dallas the past 6 years, so I honestly wouldn't know if Pirate's Landing is crowded before PI football games. Or is it "The Lost Galleon" you were referring to? The oddly shaped building on the main highway a few blocks before you get to the causeway?
