Or, you could say that Region III just got harder overall and tougher to get out of. ;)

Reg III is one thing, but look at that district OUCH!!!! Taylor, Hutto, Cameron, Liberty Hill, Rockdale...... At least one really good team is gonna be sitiing home each year come playoff time. That poor new HC in Rockdale is almost in a no win situation...

i know what you mean lhmom. I never thought we would have liberty hill in region 3 and in our district. And no one saw austin johnston moving down to 3a. Looks like a great district tho. I hear Liberty Hill is apealing it?

Cameron to Liberty Hill would be the farthest roughly 85 miles.

Cameron to Austin Johnston would be the 2nd farthest roughly 75-80 miles.

Liberty Hill to Rockdale is about 65-70 miles.

Liberty Hill to Austin Johnston is about 40 miles.

Hutto to Taylor would be the shortest of 7 miles.

BTW,I used Mapquest.com to get this mileage. I'm pretty sure there is a short cut that'll cut off some miles between Cameron and LH.

I wouldn't count on that. Coach Vance announced the new district to the off-season guys today. I would think that's a pretty good indication there won't be an appeal, but I will be asking about that "rumor" on Monday.

After some of the comments today by some "former" district teams, all I can say is "Adios". Well, that's not ALL I can say, but it wouldn't be appropriate.

Total Est. Distance: 84.38 miles

Is the exact distance from Yoe HS to LH's football field

It's a heck of a lot less mileage than we've driven the last 6 years. :)

I heard on the radio this afternoon that the Llano coach was not at all happy with only 4 teams in their district. May be dang hard to schedule 7 non-district games.

Does this mean more out of state opponents? Maybe that is what UIL wants...?

Old Dog

Heck Llano is closer to old Mexico than any ajoining state.

It wouldn't a first, this past year Port Isabel played Monterey Tech, which is South of the border.

Longer than that, Mont. Tech has been playing South Texas for quite a few years. Nothing like 21 yr olds playing 17 yr olds.

The guys at work were talking like the Hutto and Taylor game would be played on a neutral site like the UT\OU game. The word I got was it would be played in Frame Switch, Texas during daylight hours due to the lack of electricity...........

lol, frame switch is nothing but a road sign. Hutto vs Taylor is going to be a great game. Im sure the Taylor people are thrilled about the game too.
