I wonder if the 4 team districts have the option of round robin scheduling????

One of these teams only has to win 1 game all year, and can still get into the playoffs. Thats nuts!

I thought that the UIL was trying to do away with the smaller districts. Sorry, but this is goign to make the first couple of rounds of the playoffs pretty crappy.

A team can now go 1-9 and still make the playoffs by losing all nondistrict contests, and only winning one game in district, assuming that there are no ties, it could go like this:
Team A: 3-0; Team A beats everyone.
Team B: 2-1; Team B loses only to team A.
Team C: 1-2: Team C loses to teams A and B, but beats Team D.
Team D: 0-3: Team D loses all district games.

In this scenario, Team D could go 7-3, and not make the playoffs. As far as I'm concerned, that's a little screwed up.

They should have just combined districts 3 and 4 for 1 8 team district.

Not exactly true. Notice the 4 team districts are all neighboring districts which allows for the 2 districts to schedule games between each other on the weeks that there is no district action.

How does the bi-district playoff game work if there is not a District 2?

yes the teams in 1-3A getta free pass to the second round.....if they don't do robin it should be too bad to find non-district games since the 3 in Reg 1 all border and the 2 in Reg 4 border....I'd rather see reound robin personally

Go to the UIL Website, look at the .pdf for 3A, and then open it up so you can see the whole page at once.

Explain why they could not balance the regions any better than that?! 4team districts in 1 and 4? 8 team districts?

WTH?! LOL

I have said it once and will say it again, I would love to be a fly on the wall when they do this.

ps - this should blow the "rubber band" theory we hear so much about. LOL
