Region 1 - 36 Schools
Region 2 - 49 Schools
Region 3 - 55 Schools
Region 4 - 39 Schools
I know West Texas rural schools are declining and the Metroplex and Austin area schools are growing but is this not ridiculous? I don't understand this at all. 4 team districts in Region 1 and 8 team districts in Region 2 & 3. This is nuts!

Will District 1 send 6 teams to the playoffs since no one in District 2 is playing football?

there is no dist 2 for football, for hoops the 8 schools will split to dist 1 (anthony, clint, fabens, tornillo)& dist 2 (ft stockton, monahans, pecos, presidio)
