a semifinal team from 3 or 4 years ago (arp) a finals team fron 2004 (troup) past 2a state champs (garrison and elysian fields) and the defending 3a champ (tatum) timpson is like 2 years removed from a regional finals trip where they lost to a district foe in garrison. rusk is down from 3a and waskom always has a very good team. WOW

That is a strong 2A district! But mark my words...Tatum's best football will be played during the next two years (our sophomores from last years team have a record of 40-1 since they began 7th grade football, in 3A). I'm not trying to be cocky and say that we will go undefeated in the next two years, but the others will have a BIG challenge regardless of past years results.

I will miss AAA... There are some very classy schools in AAA and great competition. I hate it Tatum will not be back to defend its State Championship. I will miss all the new schools we were able to play and great people I have met. As for going back to AA and playing these guys we've been there and done that...
